This drinking fountain was donated by the
Rochdale Co-operative for the people of Rochdale in 1907 people of Rochdale by the Provident Society in 1907.
The Co-operative drinking fountain as it more affectionately known has still to be fully restored (subject to securing funding), work would comprise of replacing missing lions, finials, plaques and hopefully one day modified for it to be put back into full working order.
